Stability of superselection sectors
April 11, 2018
Our paper On the stability of charges in infinite quantum spin systems has just appeared on the arXiv. In it we prove that the superselection structure describing the anyons in abelian versions of Kitaev's quantum double model is stable against perturbations of the dynamics.

Book on quantum spin systems published
April 09, 2017
My book, based on lecture notes for a course I taught at Leibniz University Hannover, has been published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Physics series. It gives an introduction to the mathematics of quantum spins with infinitely many sites, accessible to students with a basic background in mathematics or theoretical physics.
